Tired of the same old pumpkin seeds at Halloween? Try this. I LOVE pumpkin seeds. We always get extra pumpkins at the patch so I can make pumpkin puree and store it in the freezer, and make this recipe for pumpkin seeds.
Ingredients:
Pumpkin seeds from a fresh pumpkin
4-6 cups salted boiling water
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp. Worcestershire
1 tsp. garlic
2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp. Lawry's Season Salt
pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325F. Clean seeds, and put in the boiling water. Boil for about 7 minutes. Drain, and pat dry on paper towels. Meanwhile, melt the butter, and mix in all the spices (except salt) and Worcestershire. Toss in the seeds, and spread on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt. Bake until desired crispness, about 20-25 minutes. I like to toss them while they bake so they cook evenly.
