Early last year I worked on The Sketchbook Project. The Brooklyn Art Library hosts this project to inspire many, raise money and awareness and create a collaborative art community online. Here are shots of my entry, 15 Unfinished Tales, inspired by one of my favorite authors/illustrator’s book,
The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. I focused more on the stories and concepts, and made the art very “sketchy” to add to the idea of the “unfinished” tales, leaving room for the reader to fill in the blanks of each story. Within the book I built surprises with pop-ups and cut outs for certain stories.
